The structural demolition of the Gastineau Apartments will begin about two weeks after the originally scheduled start date. Contractors will start taking the buildings down the week of Jan. 25 instead of next week because of “delays caused by pumping water out of the basement, removing the boiler and other debris from the basement, and shipping of demolition protection screens,” according to city officials.
