Eaglecrest hosts Christmas Eve party for children

Eaglecrest Ski Area is hosting a Christmas Eve party today beginning at 3 p.m.

For an $8 registration fee, children can receive gifts (not included) directly from Santa Claus himself. The party starts with an hour of arts and crafts and storytime followed by a torchlight parade down the slopes of Porcupine Chair. Santa will begin distributing presents at 4:30 p.m. Call the Snowsport School at 790-2000 (ext. 211) to register a child.

The mountain is open today and every day from Dec. 26-Jan. 8. Porcupine Chair will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the days of operation.
