COVID at a Glance for Friday, Dec. 10

Numbers come from reports from the City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center and the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, as well as updates from the Alaska Coronavirus Response Hub and City and Borough of Juneau COVID-19 Dashboard.

Vaccination information: 81.9% of Juneau’s eligible population ( 77.7% overall) has received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 76.9% of eligible Juneau residents (72.9% overall) have completed a full vaccination series.

New cases: 445 residents, 8 nonresidents

Test positivity rate: 4.21%

Cumulative cases: 147,975 residents and 5,450nonresidents

Current hospitalizations: 79

New deaths: 0

Cumulative deaths: 856 residents, 30 nonresidents

Vaccination information: 62% of Alaska’s eligible population ( 58% overall) has received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 56% of eligible Alaskans (53% overall) have completed a full vaccination series.
