The Alaska Court System will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24 to normal business. Only in-custody arraignments and emergency proceedings will be conducted.
For purposes of filing deadlines, anything due on Dec. 24 will be due instead on Monday, Dec. 28.For budgets reasons, courts statewide will be closed up to five days between Nov. 27, 2015, and June 30, 2016. The Supreme Court has designated Dec. 24 as a closure day. Court employees are required to take unpaid leave on closure days.
