$500 reward offered for heroin tips

The Juneau Crime Line is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the source of “White China” heroin imported into Juneau.

The heroin may have been cut with fentanyl, a prescription painkiller, according to the Juneau Police Department. White China is being blamed in part for an increase in heroin overdoses that started around Nov. 13.

Anyone with information is encouraged to report their tip to the Juneau Crime Line at juneaucrimeline.com or to police at 586-0600.

Juneau Crime Line is a nonprofit organization designed to aid police during investigations. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity.
