Local student earns degree

Cassee Olin of Juneau earned a MSED degree in education from Wilkes University, the university announced.

The degree was one of 277 degrees awarded to winter graduates, according to the university.

A commencement ceremony honoring 2021 and 2022 graduates will be held in May 2022.

Local student notches academic honors

Anna Frazier of Juneau on earned dean’s list honors during the fall 2021 semester at Linfield University, the university announced.

The dean’s list identifies students who have earned a term GPA at least equivalent to a cum laude (at least 3.650 GPA) for a given semester, according to the university. It is computed following the posting of grades at the end of each semester.

Students earn Montana State honors

Several students from Juneau were among those to earn academic honors from Montana State University, the university announced.

Alexandria Hayward and Emily Heaton were named to MSU’s president’s list, according to the university.

Jessica Gregg, Sarah Heaton, Mary Landes, Mikayla May, Brysen Mitchell, Leah Neyhart, BriAnna Overturf and Kathy Tran were named to the dean’s list.

To be eligible for the lists, students must have earned in at least 12 college-level credits, according to the university.

The 1,542 students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester were named to the president’s list. The dean’s list includes the 3,721 students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester
