Kindred Post, a neighborhood post office, gift shop, and community gathering space, will host a Tiny Post Office Concert on Thursday, Feb. 11, with Southeast folk musicians Emmett Williams and Goldwing.
Alternative folksinger Williams, of Sitka, is described as “equal parts punk rock, old school troubadour, and new school singer-songwriter.” He has been performing throughout the country and in Europe for nearly 20 years.
Goldwing is a Juneau-based band that features Clay Good, Dan Desloover, Ben Higdon, and Dan Kirkwood. The band’s songs mix folk, pop and country.
The concert is the seventh in a series aimed to celebrate music, neighbors, and quality time by offering unplugged or low-tech performances to small audiences.
The event is free and open to the public; donations welcome. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The show begins at 7 pm.
Kindred Post is located at 145 S. Franklin Street. Learn more at www.kindredpost.com or on their Facebook page.
