JAHC to host a performance of letters written by famous people

The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council will host “Letters Aloud” at 7 p.m. on Nov. 24 at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center. The performance is part of its 2015-2016 concert season.

A group of professional actors will read the private letters of the famous and not-so-famous live on stage; letter writers include Stephen King, Andy Warhol, Elvis Presley, Emily Dickinson, Bruce Lee, Marilyn Monroe and Tom Hanks.

Tickets may be purchased at the JACC, Hearthside Books and at www.jahc.org. This is a 21+ event.

In combination with the performance at the JACC, Letters Aloud will hold a letter writing workshop on Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kindred Post. Those interested can pre-register at the JACC. Registration costs $20.
