We deserve better from the Capitol

As a candidate in next United States House of Representatives primary, if elected the state budget will not be my purvue, but as an Alaskan voter, I feel I must comment.

The current state of what is going on in our state capitol needs to be addressed; we deserve better than this. This is my Alaska and it is yours. We cannot sit back anymore and let our elected leaders compromise our future in the name of politics, because in my opinion that is exactly what is going on on both sides.

The issues, as we know, are complex; there is no easy answer, but whatever happened to common sense? Apparently that is lacking here.

We are approaching a statewide shutdown because no one will compromise. This is absolute madness. This needs to stop. I as a voter will remember this come Election Day. Stop insulting the intelligence of the Alaskan people in the name of politics. We elect you to get the job done, so please do your job, all of you, before it is too late. Thank you.
