Opnion: We’re writing in Will Muldoon. You should too

We are concerned about Juneau’s youth in these unprecedented times.

The Juneau School Board election matters even if you don’t personally have children enrolled in the Juneau public school system.

We fully support Will Muldoon for school board and we’ll write in his name on the ballot. He is very much an expert on filtering data, scrutinizing numbers and magnifying them in a way that it is easily understood. When it comes to budgets and projects, understanding the necessary course of action, and being transparent, there is no one more trustworthy.

We are also concerned about Juneau’s youth in these unprecedented times. There are pressures on young people that need to be understood and balanced. From teaching them personal safety to teaching them why higher-level math and reading comprehension matters, Muldoon understands. We need to focus on a consistent educational program, provide protections, and develop opportunities for these neighbors that will someday be in charge of our economy.

While he may have entered the race after ballots were printed, his engagement is solid. We know he has the best interests of our local students, our families and our teachers at heart. Write in Will Muldoon.

Mike and Cindy Dau,

Juneau
