Opinion: Rep Eastman’s commitment to the Constitution

I keep reading about Rep. David Eastman having joined the Oath Keepers 18 years ago but have not read anything about his condemning the participants in the Capitol riot. Our lawmakers should think about this when considering Eastman’s committee assignments. The insurrection was to meant to deny our rights under the Constitution not to enforce them. Anyone who previously swore an oath to defend our Constitution, whether in the armed forces, a government official, police officer, fire ighter, or whoever, and then participated in the attempt to overthrow our government on Jan. 6 should be given a fair trial and if found guilty shot.
