Don’t miss an excellent My Turn.

One may get their national news online without reading a local paper, but they would likely miss the excellent My Turn by Zach Brown in the Sept. 4 Juneau Empire. Brown, a climate educator, reports how the book “Dark Money” by Jane Mayer chronicles how the Koch Family made their big money and how it has been, and is still is being, used politically. Then, he brings the conversation back to Alaska, touting how Dr. Al Gross is not accepting corporate PAC money. Our president with a yapping chorus of yes men and women has denounced climate change from the start. This is a problem already affecting Alaska more than other states. I look forward to Gross replacing Sen. Dan Sullivan in the U.S. Senate and Alyse Galvin replacing the incumbent Rep. Don Young in the U.S. House. Gross and Galvin will speak up for Alaska even if we successfully vote out of office the present climate change denier.
