Opinion: A warning about voting for a constitutional convention!

APOC (Alaska Public Office Commission) listed three lobbying firms for 2022. They earned a total of $4,288,820 lobbying this year (monthly fees were not included in this figure). It also listed 83 individual lobbyists for this year. Remember, we only have 60 legislators. The top five salaries the individual lobbyists reported were, $491,000, $511,000, $560,000, $600,000 and $700,000, respectively (monthly fees were not included in these figures either).

Here is scary thought for you. There were companies from 19 other states plus the District of Columbia represented by the lobbyists. Guess who will be at the constitutional convention lobbying? Here is the APOC website: https://doa.alaska.gov/apoc/pdf/2022-Lobbyist-Directory.pdf
