Letter: Campaign photo public domain

The photo in Karen Crane’s campaign brochure is public domain. All the people in the photo knew the photo would be public domain and are facing the camera and smiling. Photos in the public domain can be used by anyone. Good examples are the presidential commercials on TV using photos of their opponents.

How does one make this an issue? Ken Koelsch supporters simply have to contact Assembly members with complaints and draw them into the politics. One result is discord on the Assembly when they should be working together as a team and respecting each other’s views.
