• The Mount Roberts Tramway •

Amenities: Restaurant seats approximately 130, theatre, tram cars (fit 40 comfortably for a small wedding party), trails, catering and decoration. View of channel and Douglas Island.
Notes: During the cruise ship season, cruise visitors have access to the tram compound most of the day. However, ceremonies can be scheduled for times when they are minimal, and for an additional fee, the entire facility can be reserved.

• Shrine of Saint Therese •

Amenities: There is a changing room beneath the bell tower in the chapel. Six additional buildings available for daily or multi-day reservations at a modest fee.
Notes: Book well in advance to reserve a specific date. The Shrine is a Catholic chapel, and there are specific eligibility requirements for weddings performed in it, as well as the bride and groom. Contact Thomas Fitterer for additional clarification.

• Adlersheim Wilderness Lodge •

Amenities: Lodge (4 rooms), 3 cabins. Space for approximately 40 overnight guests. Lodge reservation required for wedding. Do not provide catering, but have relationships with caterers. No liquor license. Wonderful views of mountains and ocean, many animals. Commercial kitchen.
Notes: Just past 33 mile. Parking for 30 - 40 vehicles, but carpooling is recommended. Closed for January and February. Book a year in advance if possible to get your.

• US Forest Service Cabins •

Monday - Friday: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
These are in Eastern Standard Time, 4 hours later than Juneau.
Cost: Varies from $25 - 45/night; typically $35 in this area. Online reservations require a credit card; under certain conditions certified checks and money orders are accepted through the toll free number.
Amenities: Heat source, outhouse, building, typically a beautiful setting. Some cabins have fuel available; others require campers to bring their own.
Notes: Learn about the specific cabin in advance - particularly the method of access (hiking, float plane, etc.) - and visit if possible. In Alaska, reservations can only be made 180 days in advance.

• Auke Village Recreational Site and Skater's Cabin •

Amenities: Shelters, wheelchair access, parking, outhouses, potable water, picnic tables, fire rings, heat source (fire places - bring your own wood)
Notes: Groups larger than 74 need an additional special use permit available at no fee. No pallets or glass containers. They ask that users not use staples or nails to attach decorations and that the area be left clean and tidy for others to enjoy.
