Hannah Slotnick, of Juneau, and Anthony Lindoff, of Hoonah, were married Aug. 8, 2009, in a beach-side ceremony in Juneau, performed by the groom's aunt Leona Santiago, Commodore of the Yaanwaashaw women. A reception immediately followed the ceremony.

Maria Elena Torres Celi, of Catacocha, Ecuador, and Joshua Zwingelberg, of Juneau, were married June 27, 2009, in Loja, Ecuador. A get-together to welcome the bride and groom to Juneau will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Zwingelberg home. All friends of the family are welcome.

Lifelong Douglas residents Barbarba and Dennis Bell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12, 2009. They were married Sept. 12, 1959, at the Douglas Community United Methodist Church. The couple has four children, one granddaughter and four grandsons.

Richard "Dick" and Lynn Williams celebrated 40 years of marriage recently with a party at the Shrine of St. Theresa. Their daughter, Kelli, son-in-law, Paul, and granddaughter, Abigail, came from Portland, Ore., to help host the party, which included many friends of the family in Juneau. The Williams were married Aug. 15, 1969, in Anchorage but have lived in Juneau for the last 36 years.
