JUNEAU - It looks like there are a couple of black bears still out and about in Juneau.
Ryan Scott, a biologist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, said he knows of at least one bear roaming around Douglas and possibly another in the downtown area.
Scott said the bears probably have not added enough fat yet to hibernate for the winter. He said they'll continue to stay out of the den as long as they're getting food.
Scott said Fish and Game will put a trap out in Douglas. If the bear is caught, a decision then will be made whether to transport it out of town or euthanize it.
