Salary board gets appointments

JUNEAU - Juneau's Gordon Harrison has been appointed to the State Officers Compensation Commission.

Other members of the commission include former state legislators Rick Halford of Chugiak and Mike Miller of North Pole, Kenai City Manager Rick Koch and Anchorage businessman Tom McGrath.

The commission will review pay of top state officials, including governor, lieutenant governor, legislators, and commissioners and set new pay rates.

Harrison is author of the "Citizens Guide to the Alaska Constitution" and is retired from a career in public service, including serving as director of the Legislative Research Agency and executive director of the Alaska Redistricting Board.
