Gwenn Michael Miller and Tyler Douglas Hennon, both of Juneau, are planning a January 2010 wedding in Juneau.

The bride is the daughter of Glenn Miller and stepmother Joan Thompson, of Douglas, and Marian Clough and stepfather, John Clough, of Auke Bay. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., she plans to attend graduate school to pursue her doctorate in environmental sciences in the fall of 2009.

The groom is the son of Paul and Susan Hennon, of Douglas. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science with a double major in physics and mathematics from the University of Oregon in Eugene, he plans to attend graduate school in the fall of 2009.

The couple first met as infants attending Bonnie's Babes in Douglas. They went through elementary, middle and high school as classmates and friends, but it wasn't until graduation from Juneau-Douglas High School that they started hiking mountains and spending all their time in Juneau together. They are looking forward to being on the same side of the continent soon.
