"My daughter lives in Ketchikan and just used her crock pot for the first time and loved it!" said C.V., of California. C.V. asked for some easy recipes for her daughter to try since she just started back to work and time is precious with an infant.
This is for C.V.'s daughter:
"This stew is hearty and makes great brown gravy," said P.P., of Juneau. "It is my family's favorite! Serve over garlic mashed potatoes or egg noodles. We like to spice the potatoes up with a little hot sauce."
Thanks for your submission, P.P.

S.F., of Ketchikan, "A wonderful Italian neighbor showed me how to make this recipe after I commented on how good it smelled when she made it. This American-Italian term "cacciatore," refers to food prepared "hunter-style" with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, various herbs and sometimes wine. I found adding cheese gave it something special, it also made it mine."
Thanks, S.F. Keep those recipes coming!
