ANCHORAGE - The Alaska Democratic Party has sent three names to Gov. Sean Parnell as suggested replacements for state Rep. Richard Foster of Nome who died earlier this month of a heart attack.
The Anchorage Daily News reported one of them is Foster's son, Neal Foster, who is on the Nome City Council.
The others are tribal administrator Ralph "Weaver" Ivanoff and school administrator Sam Towarak, both of Unalakleet.
The Republican Parnell does not have to choose from the Democratic Party's recommendations, but Alaska governors usually honor the party slate.
