JUNEAU - Department of Fish and Game officials killed a black bear at a trailer home in Juneau.
Officials were alerted after the bear entered the arctic entryway of a Switzer Village trailer home. They found the bear behind the trailer early Saturday.
Fish and Game Area management Biologist Ryan Scott says the bear was an adult male weighing about 250 pounds.
The bear was the first killed this season for showing aggressive behavior and being too close to property.
Scott said it is important for people to store their garbage properly for over the next few weeks until the bears den up for the winter.
