"Physical Therapy - The Science of Healing, The Art of Caring" is the theme of National Physical Therapy Month in October. The Juneau Pioneers' Home is celebrating the month with an exercise challenge. The challenge pairs one pioneer home resident with one staff member to form two-member teams. Each team is awarded points for their exercise accomplishments. Most teams have chosen to use the brand-new Nustep recumbent bike, funded by contributions from the Juneau Pioneers' Home Foundation. By the end of the month, the residents and staff will not only be more fit but will be awarded prizes for their exercise efforts.
