Sitka fireman Robert Dennard walks back to a fire truck Sunday after looking at the damage to a Guardian Flight King Air aircraft that landed at the Sitka airport without a front landing gear. Emergency workers sprayed foam on the runway for the landing after being told of a mechanical failure in the front landing gear. No one was seriously injured in the landing. The plane, used for medevacs, was transporting a patient to Sitka from Wrangell.
