FAIRBANKS - Sixty-seven students were excluded from their classrooms at Fairbanks schools Monday because they did not have proper vaccination requirements or a waiver.
The state requires students this year to have had two doses of chickenpox vaccine. Free shots are available at the Public Health Center.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported families may opt out of the vaccination program for medical or religious reasons.
