JUNEAU - The American College of Radiology has accredited Bartlett Regional Hospital in magnetic resonance imaging and reaccredited two mammography programs as a result of recent surveys the professional organization conducted.
Accredited facilities have demonstrated high practice standards to a peer-review panel that assesses personnel and equipment.
"They also demonstrate our commitment to quality patient care," said Ernest Wick, manager of diagnostic imaging services at the hospital. "Patients and referring physicians can remain confident that we offer only the highest quality of care that can be provided by accredited facilities."
Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
