Down 4-0, Mat-Su scored three goals in a 10-minute stretch in the second half but Juneau held on for its second tournament victory.
The Jambaars scored three goals in a a four-minute span in the first half. Rhett Bennett scored twice and Andy Lawson added another goal.
Lawson scored again in the 41st minute to put Juneau ahead 4-0.
Lawson, Ben Gelotte, Max Smith and Riley Paul all had assists in the win.
Taylor Lehnhart turned aside seven shots to preserve the victory.
Juneau had 12 corner kicks while Mat-Su United took four.
Juneau also had 12 shots on goal. Gelotte and Smith had three shots each while Lawson, Cole Carnahan, Josh Pettyjohn, Raphael Betit, Paul and Ryan McCusker each added one shot on goal.
With the win, Juneau advanced to the semifinal round and will play 10 a.m. today against Anchorage Youth Soccer Association in tie.
Elsewhere, the JSC Crimson Keet, an under-12 girls team, won the Pele Sportsmanship Award at the Zane Cup last week in Anchorage.
The Pele Award is determined by the referees after the round-robin portion of the tourney.
Team members included Calley Odem, Kimberlee Kelly, Katie McKeown, Hannah Edwards, Eyerus Tingley, Carmen Smith, Corri Perkins, Emily Winters, Malin Murray, Ashlynn Kay and Ryian Jurasz.
