Juneau's Justin Gundersen helped anchor the defense, and Sam Post and Derek Stewart manned the goal for the Riptide.
The Riptide conclude group play today against the Chugiak Cosmos in a rematch of last year's State Cup U-13 boys championship game, which Juneau won.
Vicente Alinson scored two goals, and Andrew Sigler and Joe Croteau each added a goal and two assists as the Reign shut out the Riverhounds.
Aaron Badilla and Tom Voight also scored for the Reign, and Badilla and Taylor White had the other assists.
On defense the Reign got a solid effort from Conor Lendrum in goal, assisted by defenders Colin Sielbach, Kevin Craig and Nathan Teal. Juneau used subs extensively in the game, with strong play from the entire roster.
With the win, the Riptide (2-0) qualified for the tourney playoffs.
The Xtratuffs also qualified for Saturday's semifinals with their victory on Thursday. Juneau is 2-0 in the tournament and the Xtratuffs clinched their pool-play division title even though they play the North Pole Cyclones today.
Margaret Sekona scored three goals, while Nellie Metcalfe, Amanda Soto, Isabel Waldman and Kayla Walton added one goal each for the defending state champions. Carly Lehnhart had two assists, while Lindsey Collins and Clarissa Suson added one assist each for Juneau.

After a tie in their first game, the two-time defending state champion Jaguars got their first win of the tournament. Juneau improved to 1-0-1 and has to win today against the Northern Lights Dynamo to guarantee a spot in Saturday's semifinals.
Andrew Flansaas scored five goals to lead the Jaguars, while Jamaal Bailey, Daryl Lew and Cary Kelly added single goals, assistant coach Richard Schirmer said. Carlo Ebron added two assists and Kevin Koenig added an assist for Juneau.
Nils Domke, Alex Schirmer and Lew anchored the Jaguars' defense, while Bailey ran the offense.
The Orcas took a 1-0 lead into the final 30 seconds of Thursday's game, but the Dynamo 88 squad scored on a penalty kick right before time expired to force the tie.
Juneau's goal came right after the start of the second half after Eric Gullefsen stole the ball from a Dynamo 88 player. Gullefsen made a quick pass to Jared Azure, Azure fed the ball to Dylan Ashe about 18 yards out, and Ashe buried the shot.
Tyler Dinnan and Robert Slagle had good games on defense for the Orcas.
The Titans stayed even with the Dragons for most of Thursday's game, but lost on a penalty kick about 10 minutes into the second half. After the Dragons scored, the hot weather and the deficit wore down the Juneau players.
Keri Williamson had a good game in goal for the Titans, and she was assisted on defense by Audrey Wagner and Lindsey Kato. Midfielder Dani Barr and forward Sarah Christianson also played well.
