Begich can help solve energy crisis

As a longtime Alaskan and nonpartisan voter, I feel it is time for a change from politics as usual.

U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens has done a lot for Alaska over the years, but he is losing respect of many in Washington, D.C., through the mockery of him as the senator of "bridges to nowhere." He has not kept up with technology and how it works. Lastly, it is the one-year anniversary of the search of his "house" in Girdwood in connection the corruption scandals of VECO Corp.

Due to this, I support Mark Begich for U.S. Senate. Begich points the way to innovative technology in solving the energy crisis our country now finds itself in. He understands how the world is changing and is helping to point the way to new technologies to help Alaska lead the way in renewable energy development.

Begich is a young leader who can represent our state as this country goes through a time of great stresses and change. He has laid open his finances to avoid accusations of corruption.
