Juneau, Hunt wed
Weddings
While attending the International Juneau Family Reunion, Paul Juneau and Julie Hunt were married July 4, 2009, at the Alaska Wolf Lodge on Wickersham Drive in Juneau.
According to reunion organizers, this was the first occurrence of a Juneau family member being married in Juneau. Officiating the ceremony was Sue Ann Lindoff, a direct descendant of the city's namesake, Joe Juneau. Gerald Fiscus and Dale Wygant provided the music, and Laurel Stone sang three songs chosen by the bride and groom. David Stone presented the family with facts of Joe Juneau's life from his historian expertise, which was very much appreciated by the family. Local Juneau photographer Seanna O'Sullivan photographed the informal event.
Prior to the wedding, the bride and groom participated in the Fourth of July Parade with the rest of the Joe Juneau family and enjoyed connecting with the Juneau residents they met earlier in the week during the reunion activities.
Paul and Julie found the Juneau residents to be as friendly as their southern neighbors. As New Orleans residents, Paul and Julie shared boas and beads with the crowd to bring the New Orleans experience to Juneau.
