Photo: Arbor Day Observance - better late than never
Carol Scafturom, left, a board member for the Juneau Urban Forestry Partnership, shovels dirt for a green leaf beech tree held in place by board member Elizabeth Bochynski, center, and Mayor Bruce Botelho Friday at Evergreen Cemetery. The tree was planted next to Joe Juneau's gravesite for Arbor Day. The observance was admittedly late - Arbor Day in Alaska is the third Monday in May.
