Marcy Pilcher, of Juneau, and Mark Sowers, of Tacoma, Wash., will be marry on July 8, 2009, at Sandy Beach in Douglas. There will be a reception and potluck July 11 at 7 p.m. at Sandy Beach, Shelter 2.

The bride is the daughter of Bernadine Peterson and John Babcock. A graduate of Babylon Senior High School in Babylon, N.Y., she is a counselor at Lemon Creek Correctional Center. She has three children: Jade Pilcher, Iris Pilcher and Harold 0. Pilcher III.

The groom is the son of Toni and Phillip Sowers. A Wilson High and Tacoma Community College graduate, he is an office manager at KGM Motorcycle Transport.

The couple will have a small and fun ceremony, befitting their personalities.

The couple started their honeymoon early in Tacoma, Wash. and plan on continuing it throughout their lives.

The couple will make their home in Juneau.
