Ketchikan motorist indicted on four felony counts
KETCHIKAN - A 26-year-old Ketchikan man who led Alaska State Troopers on a high-speed chase has been indicted on four felony counts.
Shane Isaia was indicted last week on three counts of assault and one of failure to stop at the direction of a police officer.
He's also charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and drunk driving.
The indictment names trooper Sgt. Gary Webb as the victim in two assault counts and a construction site flagger as the victim in the third.
Each assault count says Isaia recklessly placed the victim "in fear of imminent serious physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument."
Troopers punctured Isaia's tires were with spike strips. He plunged through a guardrail and down a 75-foot embankment in heavy brush.
