JUNEAU - Tlingit and Haida Head Start is now enrolling preschoolers, age 3-5 or turning 3 years old by September. All applicants require income verification, an original birth certificate, current immunizations and tuberculosis screening results.

Head Start is a free federal preschool program for all children of low-income families. It provides learning experiences for children and their families four days a week as well as nutritious meals. Programs are located in Juneau, Craig, Klawock, Saxman, Wrangell, Petersburg, Hoonah, Sitka and Yakutat.
