Gustavus launches new trip planning Web site
GUSTAVUS - The Gustavus Visitor's Association announces the launch of www.gustavusak.com. People considering a trip to Glacier Bay National Park can now plan their trip using on-line planning tools, maps, and business directories.
"Gustavus is not only the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park," said Rachel Parks, President of the Gustavus Visitor's Association. "It also is a truly unique Southeast Alaskan community. We have miles of sandy beaches, a range of accommodations including world-class inns, bed and breakfasts, vacation homes and budget cabins; and many great things to do and see like whale watching, flightseeing, charter fishing, art galleries, kayaking tours, and dog mushing. The list really is endless."
From its early homesteading history to today, Gustavus businesses have extended true Alaskan hospitality. Gustavus is located only 20 minutes west of Juneau via air and there is summer ferry service from Juneau to Gustavus beginning today. The community welcomes independent travelers to Glacier Bay National Park.
