Governor, city manager deserve our praise
I am writing in response to the article, "City expands aid for electric customers," dated May 23.
I would like to thank the city manager for doing the best in dealing with this Alaska Electric Light & Power Co. crisis.
Also, I would like to thank Gov. Sarah Palin for her good intentions and for having such an intelligent idea of handing out debit cards to the people of Alaska. It is people like her that make this world a better place to live.
We should always be thankful because we don't have such problems as other countries that have a 40 percent personal income tax and no permanent fund dividends. Juneau demonstrates good will and unity in face of crises such as inflation and high gas prices. It is important that we, as a community, stay united and face these problems in a positive way.
So, thanks again Gov. Palin and the city of Juneau for a job well done.
