Wendy Owens and Brian Felix were married on May 9, 2009, in Cone Chapel at Willamette University in Salem, Ore. Their honeymoon was a cruise through the Florida Keys and Belize.

They are on their way back to Juneau where she is a nurse at Bartlett Regional Hospital and he is a full-time student.

A blessing for the newlyweds will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Douglas United Methodist Church in downtown Douglas. The Rev. Brian Ewing, of Calvary Fellowship, will officiate as he did at the wedding.

A reception will follow the blessing at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center. All friends in Juneau are invited to join in this celebration of marriage for two reasons: to see Wendy walk down the aisle in her wedding dress and for the desserts and wedding cake.
