Rachel L. Clemens, of Juneau, and Robert E. Kindred II, of Douglas, were married on March 14, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Astoria, Ore. A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. May 2 at the Church of Christ in Juneau, 8755 Trinity Drive, in the annex.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Kathryn Clemens. She graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1991 and the University of Alaska Southeast in 1998.

The groom is the son of Carol Kindred and Robert and Wanda Kindred. He graduated from Astoria High School in 1987.
