Central Council of the Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska would like to welcome all participants of the 13th Annual Spring King Salmon Derby. As everyone gears up for the derby, I would like to express Central Council's gratitude toward all of the sponsors, donators, participants and volunteers that have made this year's event possible. The month-long derby is the coordinated effort of our Higher Education program that provides annual scholarships through the Alumni Scholarship Assistance Program to all enrolled Tlingit or Haida tribal citizens, regardless of service area, community affiliation, origination, residence, tribal compact or signatory status. By contributing toward this event, whether you are a direct sponsor, donor, or just purchased a derby ticket, you are contributing toward the academic endeavor of our young tribal citizens and fostering growth and ultimately a better future for them.
