Benjamin J. Nelson
Hoonah and Tenakee Springs resident Benjamin "Ben" J. Nelson died April 12, 2008, in a snowmobile accident in Sitka. He was 32.
Born in 1975, in Phoenix, Ariz., he was a commercial fisherman by trade. He also loved to hunt and hike in his leisure time.
Family members said he will be greatly missed.
Per his wishes, no formal services will be held. He was cremated, and his ashes will be scattered over the waters where he worked.
There will be a Sitka bell-ringing for his friends at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at 212 Katlian St. Also, a Hoonah bell-ringing will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at 151 Front St.
