Juneau wrestlers prepare for state at local tourney
"The tournament ran well," said Tornadoes coach Bob Mahon. "We had a lot of people watching. ... And the big thing is that the kids had a lot of fun."
Wrestlers at the meet included boys and girls, ages 5 through high school, competing in various divisions based on age and weight.

"It was fun," she said. "I enjoy getting the medals."
The meet was a tune-up for the state club wrestling tournament, to be held May 2-3 in Eagle River; Juneau will be well-represented at that event.
Twenty-five Juneau wrestlers are going to be participating in the state meet, Mahon said. In the past, Juneau's state contingent has not exceeded 15 wrestlers.
