Alicia Roberts Medical Center adds Hill to medical staff

KLAWOCK - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Alicia Roberts Medical Center in Klawock is pleased to announce the addition of Diane Hill to its medical staff. In addition to providing physician assistant services at ARMC, Hill will have regular office hours at the SEARHC Thorne Bay Health Center.

Hill is a longtime Alaskan who earned an Associate of Nursing from Anchorage Community College (now part of the University of Alaska Anchorage). She completed her physician assistant certification training and earned a Bachelor of Science in general studies from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, N.D. Before moving to Prince of Wales Island, Hill spent 25 years at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, including the last 20 years as an emergency room nurse.

Hill is certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. She also is a registered nurse and she holds a certified emergency nurse credential from the Emergency Nurses Association. She served as a certified sexual assault nurse examiner in 1996-2005.

Emergency and internal medicine are Hill's medical interests. She also enjoys ornamental horticulture, swimming, biking, reading, politics and the study of human behavior.
