Suzanne Sakewitz and Robert Sanford, both of Juneau, were married Jan. 11, 2008, at Anini Beach in Kauai, Hawaii. A reception was held Jan. 26 at The Sandpiper Cafe in Juneau.

The sunset beach ceremony was attended by their daughter, Brooke; the bride's mother and step father, Phyllis and Harvey Johnson, of Taylor, Texas; and best friends, Kristen Holland and Dillon Theed.

The groom is a 1988 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and served four years in the U.S. Navy.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Hutto High School in Texas. Both are employed at the Hangar/Twisted Fish Co. and reside in Juneau.
