The winner of the tournament will take home a brand new Playstation 3. All are invited to enter.

Admission is free to play or watch, but you must be 21 or over.

The single-elimination tournament will be seeded and played on "pro face-off level," mostly on hard. Prizes will be awarded for the winner (based on total points) as well as best style and best costume.

Haines duo Kris and Lindy to headline show at Silverbow

JUNEAU - Haines guitarist Kris Eli Jones and bass player Lindy Jones will play their first big Juneau concert - 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Back Room in the Silverbow Inn.

Admission is $10 at the door.

The duo plays original songs in the American genre, often telling of lonely roads stretching past abandoned sawmills or wayward evenings in shoddy motels.

Boogie fundraiser set forDec. 1 at the Alaskan

JUNEAU - The Boardwalk Boogie will hold a fundraiser at 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Alaskan Hotel and Bar for next spring's planned five-day blowout bonanza in Pelican.

The night's entertainment includes: Sean Tracey and Maridon Boario; Kris and Lindy Jones and Honky Tonk Habit; and Wisconsin Slim.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and available at Costa's Diner, The Paradise Cafe and the Alaskan Hotel.

Zahasky's dance caller to lead Friday night contra dance

JUNEAU - The Zahasky Family Band dance caller Odette Foster will lead a Friday night contra dance from 7:30-11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at St. Ann's Parish Hall, 416 Fifth St.
