Small Bites blog
Sometimes it feels like we're being beaten over the head with all kinds of health wisdom. We get it from our moms, our doctors and probably even our friends. With all that information coming in, sometimes it's just easier to tune it out.
But that's not always the best plan - some of the wisdom being passed along is probably helpful.
In his blog, Small Bites (http://smallbitesnutrition.blogspot.com), Andy Bellatti looks at problems in American nutrition, addressing them in a fun, but still informative way. He's tackled topics such as trans fats, sugar intake and fast-food consumption.
Webapp TwitterNotes (twitternotes.com) separates notes to yourself from all the other chatter on Twitter. Simply log onto Twitter and type a note to yourself prefixed by the + sign, and check TwitterNotes to retrieve it later. Organize your TwitterNotes with tags by surrounding tag words in the tweet with asterisks, or listing tags at the end of the tweet. For people who love and live on Twitter, this a great way to separate notes to self from other status messages and conversation. If you're looking for a scheduled solution or a way to get consistent reminders, you can try the Twitter timer (twitter.com/timer) or Remember the Milk (blog.rememberthemilk.com/2007/07/twitter-your-tasks.html). Otherwise, TwitterNotes should do wonders for those who might be, ahem, tweeting during class or a business meeting.
