Auras: Lets get metaphysical

Happily Hitched on the Last Frontier

My good friend Keith and I were standing in a meta-physical bookstore in Santa Monica one day thumbing through books. We were digesting organic veggies and brown rice from our favorite restaurant Real Food. I stumbled upon a how-to-read-auras-book which peaked my curiosity.

I scanned the book. The author said to stare at someone for 10 minutes with your eyes focused softly so that everything blurred and, eventually, you will see colors emerge around that person. The colors tell you everything that is going on. How their past has affected them, what they want most out of life, how healthy they are, how happy they are and their strengths. Tapping into this color source would reveal a wealth of information. It is like a spiritual social security number. We tried it.

I don't remember what colors Keith was wearing that day, but I wanted to know more about seeing peoples "color coat."

Spiritual gurus say our personal energy and vibrations extend about eight feet from our bodies. That means if you're within eight feet of someone, your auras are probably touching.

I was walking down Franklin Street the other day when two men with weak, dark gray auras appeared, walking toward me. I jumped out into the street to put a good 10 feet between us so I wouldn't brush their auras accidentally and pick up negative energy. I have girlfriends whose auras emit such good vibrations, everyone in the room is drawn to them like bees to honey. The Beach Boys sang about these types.

Everything in the universe is just a vibration. Every atom, every electron, even our thoughts and consciousness are just vibrations. So when looking for a mate it's best to find someone with good vibes. If you're married, it's best to try and keep both your vibes strong and healthy.

People who eat a good diet, get fresh air, exercise and sunlight usually have bright, clean auras. Meditation is also a great aura cleanser. Pitch in at the kitchen down at the Glory Hole if you want the deluxe sparkling aura.

If someone has a materialistic attitude, suppresses the development of consciousness, cultivates fear, envy and jealousy, their aura will become small, weak and gray.

If you are meeting people on-line, tucked away behind your computer screens, you aren't able to do the crucial full-on aura immersion vibe check. There's no question you can do some preliminary weeding out. Even when trying to make the best impression, unless they're a total sociopath, negative attitudes and other funky stuff does eventually leak into a person's correspondence. But you could still waste precious time trying to get to know someone through text messaging or e-mail only to find their vibes as dark and gray as Juneau in October.

And if you do meet a dark and gray aura, have enough sense to get 10 feet away.

So clean your own aura coat, then get out there. Immerse yourself in good auras. Find someone else with a beautiful color coat.

It works on every level, so while you're at it, vote for the presidential candidate with the best looking aura, too.
