Deering & Down to play Alaskan Hotel & Bar this Friday and Saturday

JUNEAU - Deering & Down, the Memphis band formerly of Juneau and Skagway, will play the Alaskan Hotel & Bar from 9:30 p.m.-close Friday and Saturday.

Thursday's open mike at the bar will be emceed by Riley Woodford and Collette Costa.

Aurora Strings, Full Circle, Blue Troop to play third to last Concert in the Park

JUNEAU - Aurora Strings, Full Circle Music and Blue Troop will play this week's Concert in the Park, 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Marine Park.

The concert, as always, is free. It will be moved inside the Juneau Assembly's chambers in the case of the rain.

The Saturday night Concert on Campus series at the University of Alaska Southeast has concluded for the year.

The final two Concert in the Park lineups:

Aug. 3 - Kray Van Kirk; DJ AstronoMAR, DJ Smack and Konsept; Lifted Embrace.

Aug. 10 - The Treadwell Two; Collette Costa, Robert Cohen & Albert McDonnell; Morally Improverished.
